Foster Home Program Procedure
Group and individual sessions are provided in foster homes to youth to address mental health symptoms, based on diagnosis and needs.
The Oasis Treatment Center works directly with the foster home staff to provide services to all youth in a single foster home or residential treatment center. Upon arrival at the facility, youth are immediately scheduled to meet with a therapist from The Oasis Treatment Center to begin services. Youth are assessed and a treatment plan is developed to determine the level of care needed. If necessary, diagnosis and referrals are available to ensure all service needs are met.
Youth receive group or individual services as needed, in their residential placement. Therapy sessions occur at least once a week, outside of school hours, at the placement’s convenience. Youth are matched with a therapist who can connect with them, and a range of interventions are used. Therapists strive to keep youth engaged in services through a mix of compassion, fun, and education.
Youth enjoy developing coping skills, symptom minimization, increased social skills, and an inviting environment. The Oasis Treatment Center therapist allows youth to practice self-determination and work towards personal goals to flourish in a controlled setting. Youth experience a routine that will enable them to feel secure through stability. Youth can apply and practice the skills they learn in therapy in a monitored environment, setting them up for success. Across diagnoses, clients achieve a higher quality of life.
